Meet the Founder

Angela Miller, M.Ed. is a former special education teacher with a deep commitment to advocacy and inclusion. She spent four years providing direct instruction to students with a wide range of academic and social-emotional needs, and her passion for advocacy grew when her daughter was born with Down syndrome. Angela is also the parent of children with disabilities and diverse learning needs, including IEP services and a twice exceptional learner. Her experience on both sides of the IEP table allows her to serve as an effective and empathetic ally to both schools and caregivers.

Angela currently serves as the Parent Liaison for Volusia County Schools, where she is honored to partner with educators and families to strengthen communication and support meaningful engagement in the special education process. She also works with families across the country to help them understand their rights, navigate IEP procedures, and ensure that students receive appropriate, individualized services.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys being with her family, spending time at cheerleading practices with her children, teaching Sunday School, and practicing photography. She volunteers extensively in her community and serves on the Board of Directors for both the Volusia Council for Exceptional Children and The 321 Society, organizations that support individuals with disabilities and their families. Angela also runs a TikTok page dedicated to promoting inclusion and has written several children’s books featuring authentic disability representation.

Angela is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education and anticipates completing her degree in December 2026. Her long term goals include opening a neurodiversity affirming, inclusive school and continuing to build a more welcoming and accessible community for all learners.
